Literally, da'wah comes from the word da'a, yad'u da'watan which means 'call, exclamation, or invitation'. The purpose is to invite and call on people to acknowledge Allah SWT as the true God, then live their lives in accordance with His provisions as stated in the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah. Thus, the target of da'wah is to create human resources that are devoted to Allah SWT in the broadest sense.
In social life, especially the life of Muslims, da'wah has a very important position. With da'wah, Islamic teachings can be conveyed and explained to the public so that they know what is right and what is false, but also take sides with all forms of truth with all their consequences and hate what is false so that they always try to destroy falsehood. When this has been realized, a good life (hasanah) in this world and the afterlife will be achieved.
